| I understand this is THE most visited stamp dealer Web site in the Southern Hemisphere, by a very,, large margin. The visitor figure on my site counter is honest, accurate and completely transparent - you can see it increase every hour of every day, as there are simply LOTS of things to see on this site - over 300 sub-pages of stamps for sale, stamp articles, and travel pieces etc. The success story marches on - be visitor number 1,175,000 and win a $4,000 freebie! Two other $500 prizes as well to keep everyone rewarded for those "close" to it! $5,000 in prizes for the taking, with no Entry Fee! Just click on: |

Any time of night or day and
simply take a screen capture of that page or at least the top 6" or so of that
page, with an graphics package like Paint Shop Pro and send the image to me by
email as an attachment (ideally in .gif or .jpg or some other SIMPLE format)
that shows you are visitor number 1,175,000
REMEMBER, cutting and pasting off a
Web page does not always show the LinkExchange number, so suggest you keep a
copy of the image just as a back up!! And pleeeez ..... I am not a graphics studio or News Corporation or CNN. Someone recently tried to email me a 5 MEG file of some kind with a screen capture, and clogged my mailbox as i was travelling. My Outlook Express does not download anything larger than 2 Meg from my server as I am on an often slow connection. So a reasonably SIMPLE capture in relatively small file size please. Send anything too whizz bang and mega size and I simply will not receive it! As most folks use the Internet Explorer browser and Outlook Express email package, emailing me the page capture should be quick and simple. When my webpage is on-screen, simply go up to top tool bar to "edit" and then to "select all" and then click "copy". Go then to your email program and open a new email field, and click "paste" - and if your email handles HTML, the full colour image of my webpage should appear with the number in there. Email that to me. Perhaps do a practice run NOW if you are not up to speed with this (but email it to yourself though - not to me) - it is fast and easy! Tell me the exact TIME it happened. And the page counter we are talking about is the FRONT page (i.e., "Home Page") of my site. NONE of the other 100 + sub-pages showing 1,175,000 will be accepted. Let's make that clear now. This way there is no doubt - only ONE person can be a winner. No one can fudge by "cut and pasting" a fictional number (you must send an image of the page or a good part of the top of that page in full colour by some attachment format) or time as Microsoft LinkExchange will verify the exact times for me, as well! Not to mention the eyes of the rest of the stamp world are always upon us ALL when the "magic" number looms up! Maybe try a practice printout or screen capture program well ahead of the "big number" if you wish. When it gets near these "prize" numbers, the counter is moving fast and with absolutely international interest, as it can be evening in North America, and daytime in the Pacific, and morning in Europe etc. Many collectors have started messing about "learning" how to do a "screen capture" at this time but the magic moment flew past them whilst they still had their heads in their user manuals! One guy says he ended up taking a Kodak PHOTOGRAPH of what he says he saw on the screen!! The Rules are now CLEAR . . . it has GOT to be a clear image of
my homepage www.GlenStephens.com
(ideally in .gif or .jpg format) showing the screen capture. And I must receive
this winning image of the number from you by email within four (4) hours of you
clicking onto it so as my webmaster can verify it, and I am thus in a position
to confirm to all other submitters just who was successful - in a timely manner.
And you must have purchased something off me in the past - anything at all, at
any price. No exceptions to these rules.
That is only fair, it is something to reward customers of mine who browse my
site regularly, and it only adds somewhat to the "luck" element, which is what a
fun competition like this is all about, after all. It is like eBay - just
because you press your keyboard to bid right at auction closing time it does NOT
mean it transmits instantaneously . . . even a fraction of a second there can
defeat you!

Victorian
client wins $4,000 in valuable stamps off me!
One of my regular clients John Moyle from Maryborough was browsing my web pages recently and noticed when he logged on that the counter was moving fast toward the prize winning number. He clicked the "back to home page" button and "BINGO" the page opened at RIGHT on the winning number. John did a screen capture and forwarded it to myself and webmaster for verification and the prize was mailed to him the same day. Join the million plus other visitors to my website and keep watching these counters .... for regular and valuable prizes! I am the only stamp dealer in the world to offer such prizes on a regular basis! |

The
Microsoft
LinkExchange
reload screening
software has been programmed to prevent any attempt to hit
"refresh" or "reload" more than twice per online use (unless
you restart your browser) during the period 1,174,990
onwards, so PLEASE, no sneakies, as the counter will
simply not tick over anyway, I am told! AND we can readily
ISP log anyone trying to get clever and beat the system, and
those entrants will be disqualified. Let's have it won fair
and square by a regular "Stevo" Web page visitor. Please,
let's keep this all good humoured FUN!
I will do this
sort of FREE
giveaway regularly for "major number" milestones, as the
feedback is that everyone thinks it is a hoot, to be able to
possibly WIN stamps whilst Web browsing, no matter
WHERE you live! This competition is an incentive to
bookmark my site and grab a coffee and visit OFTEN
. . . these "milestones" can turn over ANY time of day or
night, as past history has proven! The winners have been
spread all over the globe - literally. Stamps are just
FUN for "Stevo The Stampaholic" . . . too many dealers
take it all far too seriously!

To make doubly
certain no-one is hogging the line, or somehow getting clever
with re-loads in the last few minutes, there will be a
Consolation Prize of
FIFTEEN sets of Imperforate Miniature Sheets, value $500
each prize, to the two persons who just miss 1,175,000
and get 1,175,010
and
1,174,990
etc. They had BETTER be TWO different
people to the 1,175,000 clicker, or BOTH
prizes will be null and void to that one person!
So, anyone who hits 10 digits either side of 1,175,000 i.e. between ,150,010 and 1,174,990 should cut and paste the hit and E-mail to me, in ADVANCE so I have it as "evidence" before close of Wall Street on the Monday afternoon following the 1,175,000 mark being reached. Send the two E-mails to me with the last digit of your hit that correspond with the last digit of where the Wall Street Dow Jones Index finishes at end of trading the Monday AFTER the 1,175,000 hit are then ALSO winners of a $500 prize. Therefore I can't be accused of rigging things! i.e., if Wall Street closes at 10898 on that Monday - that last digit 8 makes the Stevo Web hitters 1,175,008 and 1,174,998 will also be WINNERS if they have e-mailed me a copy of their hit as per instructions above before Wall Street closes on the following Monday. Some countries and states have gaming laws that require competitions to be a partial test of skill, rather than a pure game of chance. To comply with that, all entrants/claimants must accompany their prize request to me within the same one hour time frame with the answer to this difficult and probing stamp question . . . "In what year was the first postage stamp, commonly called the Penny Black, issued by England?" (If you can't answer that you should not be reading ANY stamp webpage!) The Judge's (ME!) decision will be totally final, after input from my Webmaster, and no correspondence will be entered into! ( N.B .... the major prize-winners - at 800,000, - 975,000, - 1,175,000, etc, etc agree and pre-approve when they enter the competition and email me their win claim, to have their names and State/Country mentioned on this website, or elsewhere - when and if I choose.) Final bit of legal fine print. You agree by entering you are over 18 years of age, and agree you are not entering from a state or country where such competitions breach any law or statute. The site I will use to verify the Wall Street final digit, as regards to accuracy (some newspapers or servers round number up or down to nearest decimal) is as it will be shown daily on http://finance.yahoo.com/?u So check www.glenstephens.com NOW, and often over the next few days, and maybe win YOUR share of $5,000 in prizes! Remember, each sub-page on my site also has a counter attached to it, so click on whatever you like to read best. Even simply doing some stamp articles READING on www.glenstephens.com/column.html can potentially win you a PRIZE! If you click on there one day and see the counter is nearing the "magic number," simply go to the "HOME" button at top and base of each page, click on it, and it will take you right to the www.glenstephens.com main page and you might be in luck as it hits the MAGIC prize winning number!! Recently posted on my Web site is my VERY latest nett-price list HERE a perfect reason to see if you are the lucky visitor and have thus won a valuable prize and there's thousands more on the Web site to choose from. Or the much commented upon travel columns are a fun read if you enjoy visiting and learning about unusual places as I certainly do during each year. I fly on holidays over 100,000 miles, or 220,000 kms a year, to a range of continents. The page on my "Millennium" visit to Antarctica, and becoming the first person this century to cross the Antarctic Circle is stacked with stamp related colour photos from that adventure. It is found here and also has sharp photos of the most IMPORTANT Antarctic covers created in this Century - all taken and created by myself on that same journey. Each cover is franked with among other things, the legendary 1890 Tierra Del Fuego 10˘ "Popper" stamps -- Gibbons "Number #1". I still have a few for sale . . . a piece of history indeed. And all are cancelled at a remote British Antarctic Territory base P.O., Port Lockroy, on 1/1/00 - the dated photos are there of me cancelling them to prove it! The FIRST Antarctic mail of the Century. The first mail to cross the Antarctic Circle as well. The Ozzie dollar is low against most foreign currencies, so but here while prices are LOW in your currency! What a fabulous time for overseas buyers to be purchasing! I accept ALL credit cards at NO fee. Fast, quick, and easy. You can order on-line on my site, here, electronically. Fast, efficient, and hassle free. |

Search all my 300+ web pages! Simply type in what you are looking for. "Penny Black", "Latvia", "Imprints", "Morocco", "Fungi" "Year Books", etc! Using quotes ( " ) is more accurate for multi word searches - i.e. "Australian FDC" gives FAR more specific matches than simply Australian FDC if used with no quotes. Search is NOT case sensitive. Tip - keep the search word singular - "Machin" yields far more matches than "Machins" etc. |
