Glen Stephens The Biggest Stamp Dealer in the Southern Hemisphere

"Stamp Kiloware Offers"
stamps on paper - dirt cheap!

My debut offer of the half ton of Australian recent "Commemoratives Only" (offer #2 below) on close clipped paper totally SOLD out in a few months!   That was over 1,000 pounds weight of close cut stamps.  I have continued to offer it since.

Not ONE, repeat  not ONE complaint has been received  about any aspect of those stamps, in the ten years I have offered them, right up to the time of writing.  Indeed some have written to me saying it was the  FINEST  kiloware "Value For Money" lot they ever bought from ANY source, and I am delighted to receive such feedback.

There have in fact been hundreds of repeat orders,  so if you want some more,  let me know SOON,  as I find it REALLY hard to get this mix today – most especially the “Blue Chip”.  No-one else seems to be able to source such high grade, VERY recent, commemoratives only, close clipped, single paper quality as lot #2.

That first half ton went to about 250 different clients, in 29 different countries.  MANY of the buyers of these offers are overseas dealers and large auction houses.  Many have came back and back and back.  One leading North American auction house has often bought SIXTY kilos a time.  Re-selling this material is clearly profitable, therefore buying direct off me is even more so.

As we all know, less and less businesses use postage stamps today.  Combined with that - more and more Post Offices worldwide now use white "supermarket labels" and pre-paid meters - and not stamps.   Good grade kiloware is getting harder and harder to source.

The unpaid army of older folks who once sorted and snipped and collected this material for charities are also dying off, so the problem is doubly serious.  Heavily lessened supply, and then almost no-one about to process it.  The financial returns they get is near nothing as you can imagine.  If I can RETAIL 9 kilos of Australia “50/50” in Lot 2 for $175 – a large carton of around 45,000 stamps, the hourly rate return to them is near zero!  A dollar or two an hour. How long would YOU take to source, collect and neatly snip stamps off 45,000 envelopes?  Try doing even 1000 one day!

I sell MORE KILOWARE each year than any stamp dealer along the entire eastern seaboard of Australia - and that's a fact.  There must be one good reason - great value, and great selection.  Buy it NOW as supply is drying up and prices will rise – no doubt about it.  It is like the price of oil – far more demand than supply, hence a big price hike.

I have covered all ends of the market with these 4 kiloware offers below:

1. -   A nice world "Business Class" mix. In content about mid way between world mixes #1 + #3 – my best seller!

2. -  The legendary Australian close-cut "Commemoratives" that no-one else seems to be able to source

3. -   A decent grade general world "Economy" or "Budget" mix - most attractively priced.

4. -  A quite SUPERIOR high class world "BLUE CHIP"  mix.   The 'Rolls Royce' of world Kiloware.

Offer #1:

The "Business Class" world stamp Kiloware mixture. Roughly between "First Class" (Lot #4) and "Economy Class" (Lot #3)  My BEST selling mix!

Self explanatory.  I often get mixes from a charity source which are very nice, but are certainly not in the "First Class" category.  But which are noticeably better than the "Economy Class" Mix #3.

So I devised this "Business Class" Mix.  This has proven to be a VERY popular mixture.   The bulk of what I get here is close clipped,  has very little Australia, and bits and pieces of it goes back to the WW2 era.

One kilo = 2.2 lbs  (c.4,750 stamps) is:      $A125

2.5 kilos = 5.5 lbs (c.11,875 stamps) is:     $A275

4.5 kilos  =  c.10 lbs  (c.21,375 stamps) is:   $A450

Offer # 2:

190,000  AUSTRALIAN LARGE SIZE

RECENT STAMPS FOR ONLY $A575!

What a scoop!  Five years back I bought half a TON of recent Australian letter rate large size commemoratives (i.e. non Definitives) from a fascinating Charity source. That was a room full.  We are talking around 10 MILLION recent and attractive stamps here.  I was swamped with orders Worldwide for that offer, and have sourced it ever since.

They are close scissor clipped on SINGLE paper.  That is VERY important .... buying double paper corner snippings, or "torn off" stamps decreases the useful yield enormously.  I often get offered "kiloware" on rough clipped/torn double paper that means you get less than HALF or ONE THIRD as many stamps per kilo.  So buying that at even HALF my price per pound/kilo costs you more per stamp unit.

Many folks get sucked in by auctions selling that stuff, as it "sounds" like a good deal - until you receive it!  Remember YOU always pay the shipping, and why pay expensive shipping on useless WASTE PAPER!  A 10 kilo box of stamps of roughly snipped double paper kiloware often gives you only about 2 Kg of actual STAMPS!

Massive array of issues here and ALL are large sized letter rate special issues and commemoratives .... on a pretty thorough check I can see none of those rather common 45˘ and 50˘ definitive stamps here.  Those are  all  tediously separated out,  to be used for "mission mix" that is sold in supermarkets, and soaked and sold to the tourist trade as they are most attractive etc.

I offer DOUBLE WEIGHT FOR EXACT SAME COST mixes if you want some of these - those contain about 50% of these Definitive stamps. i.e. order 2 Kg at prices below and I send you FOUR Kilos for $A105 if I add 50% of Defins to the mix.  i.e. you get the Defins TOTALLY FREE - no extra cost!   If you look at 100 x 50˘ letter rate stamps that arrive at an office, always a VERY high % (95%) are common small sized DEFINITIVES.   However recent Australian ones have been incredibly colourful and attractive and sell VERY well overseas in the stamp market.  Native birds, fish, flowers, animals etc,  and heck if you are getting them FREE,  why not go for it?!    http://www.glenstephens.com/wink.gif

And my stock is all pretty well mixed up ..... that I have always insisted on.  We need to use a couple of tumble driers for this .... literally!!  This way your carton is not just a 3 month period of all similar stamp issues ....  the whole lot is well mixed by Hoover tumble drier!  Most of the stamps on a quick glance seem to be from the
LAST FEW YEARS era.  This lot only has about 15% large sized Christmas issues on a quick check.

The photo is an indication only of course,  from the day I took the scan, but that gives you an idea.  Folks want VERY RECENT stamps to soak.  Buying "Decimal Commemoratives" from auction etc often gets you most of the material 20 or 30 years old -  that you already have and do not WANT!  In those days "Commemoratives" were on sale for absolute ages like the 1981 24˘ Fungi etc.  Do you really want to pay good money for THOSE?!

Also, it is legal here to use for mail stamps from Christmas Island, Cocos (Keeling) island and the Australian Antarctic Territory.  My mixes ALWAYS have some of this very highly sought after material in it.  To buy this on its own costs MANY times per kilo as this mix does.  I do NOT separate this out - you get it "as it comes".  Often a single fine used 50˘ A.A.T. or Christmas Island, or Cocos Island stamp retails for $1 or more.

All prices on EVERY list are weak Australian Dollars!!

The period covered is thus the very HARD to get recent era,  as Australia issues so many attractive but short term of sale issues in the modern era.   And Australia is one of the most popular countries on earth for kiloware and used stamps.   Why?  We have some superb thematic and topical stamps,  beautifully designed,  and highly sought after.   My price works out at 3 or 4 stamps per CENT you pay me.  Is that good value for this era?    Well,  just look at the current Stanley Gibbons catalogue ...  THEY certainly think so!!

In fact in this fairly recent era, Gibbons values a USED 45c commemorative stamp at HIGHER than a mint one in many cases.  In the last few years, that applies in EVERY case as you can see.   Typically 45p-70p cat. per stamp used.   That is around $A1.50 per STAMP,  and you are getting a few of these for EACH cent you spend!

Why so expensive?    Businesses here use bulk franked "Postage Paid" or meter mail more and more to get the cheap bulk postage rate.   Or they use the much more common smaller sized definitive stamps that I totally exclude from this rich mix.   The large sized special issue and commemorative stamps have very short lives, and very limited distribution.  That's why Gibbons values them at around $1.50 EACH.   Check a SG catalogue yourself.

Nearly all Australian Post Offices will now affix a white meter or "Supermarket Ticket" to your item if you do not tell them NOT to.  No stamp stock to count, audit, or get stolen.  There are less and less stamps used every day. My guess is about HALF what was the "norm" 10 years back.  Sourcing this material is getting to be near impossible these days.

There are very approx.  5,000 stamps per kilo  on a trial count of a few boxes.   And quite a lot of lovely circular dated cancels seen - so HARD to find on modern stamps - and these sell literally for more than FACE in such nice condition.  And right now we are getting a good flow of elusive 2007 and 2008 commemoratives that are being added to this mix.

1.)   2 Kilo lots (about 4.5 pounds) for $A105

2.)    4.5 Kilo lots, (about 10 pounds) for $A200

3.)  9 kilo lots,  or 45,000 stamps (about 20 lbs) for $A350

4.)   Or in 19 kilo lots ( 95,000 stamps or 42 lb weight approx)  for $A650

5.)  Or remember you can DOUBLE the weight of 1-4 FOR FREE  by adding 50% of Definitive stamps.

IF YOU ELECT TO RECEIVE ABOUT 50% OF THE MIX IN COLOURFUL AND VERY ATTRACTIVE DEFINITIVES, (SEE PHOTO BELOW) YOU GET DOUBLE THE WEIGHT SHOWN ABOVE!!  i.e. 4 KILOS (LOT #1) STILL COSTS ONLY $A105!  18 KILOS OF LOT #3 IS STILL ONLY $A350!  THAT IS A HUGE CARTON CRAMMED FULL.  THE EXTRA STAMPS ARE TRULY FREE TO YOU -  MY CUSTOMERS!  NO SURPRISE – NEAR EVERYONE HAS OPTED FOR THIS AMAZING OFFER SINCE I MADE IT !!!

That works by my rusty Maths to be quite a few stamps for just ONE CENT!

How can I  GIVE AWAY the Definitives of course you are asking!  And beautiful Bird/Animal/Fish/Flower stamps too, which are VERY attractive thematic designs these days I might add – see photo below.  A far cry from tiny and dreary 18c Callistemons, boring Queens heads and 20c Little Grebes of the past.  Well, I otherwise need to pay staff to tediously remove them.  Ever carefully sifted through 95,000 stamps in a massive carton?  Trust me it is a quite massive undertaking.   It costs as much or more to do that as to include them FREE, so it is your bonus.  We ALL win!   We just quickly skim each kilo and remove most of the Defins, but the 50% that then remain are yours FREE.

EVERYTHING on this page is dispatched by well packed cartons.  The maximum weight I can legally mail per carton is 20 kilos, hence the 19 kilos of kiloware quoted.  That allows 1 kilo weight for the robust carton,  making the 20 kilo legal maximum per box.   Multiple carton orders are of course possible,  and your price per kilo will be even lower if I send 40 or 60 kilos etc.  For instance I will sell you 100 kilos or 220 pounds weight  ( i.e. half a MILLION stamps! )  for $A3,150 if you REALLLLY have a lot of time on your hands,  or want to start a small business with these!   Or, if you want to take the "50/50" option you get about a MILLION STAMPS for $A3,150!

That is only a few $US per pound or only a per £5 a kilo.  Can anyone else ANYWHERE on earth offer this quality type of Australian mix in 100 kilo lots?   I do not believe so  ... not this very recent material.   BEWARE  of similar sounding "Commems mixtures" that actually contain Australian stamps back to the 1970s and 1980s,  when commemoratives were FAR easier to get,  and sold in FAR higher numbers,  for FAR longer time periods,  and have FAR less re-sale value and demand as a result.

The Post Office here allows nice philatelic stamps to be used on the parcel for the FULL value of the postage and insurance you have paid!   The stamps used as franking are generally worth much MORE in nice cancelled condition than you pay for the shipping,  so it is effectively "free" freight worldwide when you think on it.   Indeed you can MAKE money on the shipping cost!

I will charge you virtually NOTHING for the extensive and very time consuming schlepping,  packing,  handling,  PO paperwork and detail that all of this involves - you generally pay ONLY around the face value of the very desirable and carefully selected and lightly cancelled stamps used on the parcel.  Same deal of course applies to orders within Australia.

Whether you soak these and sort them yourself,  pass them on to local schools,  or simply on-sell or auction them at 200-400% profit as kiloware,  which is about the right profit margin,  the choice is yours ... but this is an amazing offer to my clients. VERY early ordering is recommended.   My very large Charity source is assembling far less and less of this each year.  Far fewer stamps are being used,  and far fewer volunteers exist to source, send, snip and collate these, and there is the problem.

If you have friends who buy and soak and trade kiloware or bundleware,  please feel free to pass on or to circulate this offer - it really is DIRT cheap.   Maybe band together and buy a large lot and divide it up?

How cheap is my offer?   For instance,  I receive the "Philatelic Exporter" each month,  the leading UK printed stamp dealer magazine.  The dealer to dealer wholesale price advertised there for an Australian mix purportedly similar to this by a leading wholesaler is £32 a kilo, which is of course near $A90 a kilo,  or about THREE times what I am offering them to you here right now.

I emailed this offer to clients and was AMAZED by the response.   Within the first day orders were on hand from Israel,  Denmark,  NZ,  USA,  India, Ireland,  Singapore,  USA,  Argentina, and of course Australia.  Many large well established dealers and large Auctions overseas signed up for 19 Kilo lots.  These people know value.

I do not ordinarily deal in kiloware,  so as always with me,  buy big,  buy cheap,  and job it out FAST for a quick turnover.   Like the K-Mart philosophy ... "you can't go broke making a quick profit".   That is how I work,  and I'm pleased to know some of my clients will make a good profit on-selling or end using this material.  Which is why folks have ordered off me for the past 25 years.   The fact I am selling at around one THIRD the price the regular dealers in this material charge does not bother me.

I imagine this material auctioned on eBay or Yahoo or oztion.com etc, in 1 pound or 1 kilo lots would reward you VERY nicely?   Remember, 5,000 stamps per kilo is a pretty accurate figure.   Some dealers place a few handfuls of these, (about 500 stamps) into plastic bags and sell them at shows and fairs and shops for about  $US5 - $US10 a bag,  and some collectors buy several bags at once as each one is different.

I think this mixture is the BEST quality for Australian commemoratives that you will see anywhere.   And it is so CHEAP.   Even commemorative stamps from large countries like FRANCE - 4 times more populous than Australia, costs you over  TEN  TIMES  this much per kilo!   True.   The WHOLESALE price per kilo of France commemoratives on paper is £126.50 ( = $A350! ) from the leading British dealer in this material.  I simply can't believe that price,  but I am told it is one of the most sought after and most elusive of Kiloware mixtures, so there you go.  And France commems being larger sized than Australian ones,  the count yield per kilo is much less than my mixture of course.

Your order will be shipped to you generally within 72 hours by Post Office Insured or Registered Mail.  This requires a signature at your end, and I retain a dated, signed, receipt of posting at this end for your security.  The contents will be noted as "printed matter" (which it technically is!) and value noted as "$A100 - $US50" on the outside of parcel - as this may assist you with customs/duties.  I can even mark it as “printed matter – no commercial value”,  and insure for $100 if you advise this.   (Additional "Marine Transit" insurance costs $A2 per $100 covered, and I cover the parcel with this insurance unless you tell me otherwise.)

And of course,  all credit cards are accepted for payment at no fee.   You may also pay via direct bank deposit, or PayPal.  All charges for stamps and shipping will be in $Australian.  A very weak dollar,  but for you overseas buyers,  even better value to you,  as you buy in pesos,  and SELL in "hard" currencies!  You can order quickly and easily here on-line,  using credit cards:  www.glenstephens.com/order.html

All Shipping is extra - see full details at base of this page.)

Material like this from a few years back is also often spread among the mix

Above ........  a sample handful of stamps from offer TWO - and much more recent is in there now!

A representative sample of the so-called Australia "DEFINITIVES" you get in the "50/50" mix.   As you can see they are about 50% larger than the common GB and USA boring Definitives.  And are quite beautiful - with native birds and flowers and animals etc.

   Offer # 3:

World Kiloware ‘Budget’ Mix

The other world kiloware offer earlier on this page is (very deservedly) called the ‘Blue Chip’ Mix.

I have a different supplier of world kiloware that is not nearly as glamorous.  HOWEVER,  it is wonderful fun,  and for many will offer weekends and weekends of sorting pleasure.   And believe me, this is a GREAT deal superior to the junk you see sold in department stores etc as “mission mix”.   I have 500 kilos  (well over 1000 pounds or about half a ton)  of this material NOW and have priced it to really move out the door.  Do you have any IDEA what kind of volume 500 kilos takes up??!!!

This one has a lot more definitive issues in it, but my rough guess after checking a few dozen sample handfuls is that approximately 15% are commemorative stamps.  I had a helper count out a 1 kilo sample,  and the count was 4,789 stamps.   So please assume 4,500 to 5,000 stamps per kilo as a very rough rule of thumb figure, and I have ‘guessed’ it at 4,750 below and every kilo of course will vary.  These look to be 90% on SINGLE paper, which of course gives a great yield per kilo. (Unlike most of the common “Mission Mix” which is of course usually on wasteful wide cut  or hand torn double paper.)  Best of all - little if any Australian material is in here!

A bunch of countries present,  mostly the more well known ones,  and lacking the really left-field and exotic smaller countries and higher face values found in the “Blue Chip” mix.  I did for instance see nicer things like Papua New Guinea sprinkled here and there.  HOWEVER,  the price is a significant amount less, so there is the trade-off.   The photo here is literally a sample handful I pulled and spread on the scanner.   Anyone who complains to me they did NOT get a “South Africa 1.4 Rand flower stamp” in their 1 kilo bag better put their flame-proof suit on!

One kilo = 2.2 lbs  (c.4,750 stamps) is      $A70

2.5 kilos = 5.5 lbs (c.11,875 stamps) is     $A150

4.5 kilos  =  c.10 lbs  (c.21,375 stamps) is $A250

9  kilos =  c.20 lbs  (c,42,750 stamps) is   $A450

18 kilos =  c.40 lbs  (c.85,500 stamps) is  $A800

36 kilos =  c.80 lbs  (c.171,000 stamps) is $A1,450

So buying big is clearly the way to REALLY save mega-money.   Why not band together with a buddy for one of the larger boxes?   The larger lot gives you about 171,000 stamps for $US1085 and runs to nearly as low as HALF A CENT a stamp!   I have no doubt that offering this material for sale on eBay or local auctions will surprise you.

One local chap buys this off me,  packs a handful into clear cello bags of  “world stamps to soak” and offers it in a box at the local market where he has a junk/bric-a-brac stall.  He sells each bag for $A5 ($US4) and sells heaps of bags each weekend.  There are MASSES of handfuls in a kilo – go try it one day!  You will be amazed.   For each 18 kilo lot he buys at $A800 off me he grosses $A3,500.  The high profit from these pays nearly his ENTIRE stand overhead each weekend he tells me.  Dad with 3 kids buys 3 bags at $15 as each bag of course looks different.  And a few weeks later Dad buys 3 more bags as EVERY kid in the world loves soaking foreign stamps.  The maximum I can mail is 20 kilos (44 lbs) so I have restricted each box to 18 kilos of stamps to allow a sturdy carton to be used, and still not exceed the 20 kilo maximum.

Offer # 4:

W-O-R-L-D-W-I-D-E   Kiloware  Hoard!

The legendary Stevo "Blue Chip" Mixture

The Kiloware Karavan thus rolls on!  This amazing hoard was in the main accumulated from a genuine large office source (International trading company) over the last decade or so I am advised.  I often add to it some lovely material coming in to me from overseas mail and parcels - or even complete sets of superb commems snipped off FDC's from small countries etc, which often retail at $5 or $10 a set.

The Australian commemoratives lot (offer #2 here) has been a Multi Year Top 10 favorite, and many clients asked what I could offer re
WORLD material.  Well, the same source had a couple of large cartons stuffed full of that material.  Nothing anywhere like half a ton of course, as this is a lot harder to source, and thus much more expensive.  However plenty enough here for some FUN sorting and soaking by my clients over the coming months.

2008 UPDATE – I am right out of this now due to high demand.  ASK me if I have had a trickle more arrive,  or order Lot #1 – where you get 2.5 kilos of that for what ONE kilo of this costs!

A sample scan of this material is below.  You can see for yourself the sort of exciting material to expect!  I have NEVER had a complaint from folks ordering this mix, and have sold a LOT of it over the years.  Like all the scans this is a SAMPLE of what was here the day I did the scans. The mix on all 3 changes each week, and it is a representation ONLY!

This is material nearly all from the past decade or so it looks like.  Seems to be nearly NO common junk from the 1960s and 1970s or even 1980s.  On a quick look I even saw material from the last year or two!  If you buy “Mission Mix” or “Untouched Office Mix” from most sources, YOU often get what they are dumping.

And in each "un-sorted" pound from those sources you’ll generally gets LOTS of boring British Machin heads, common Italian Castle definitives, the plentiful German and Dutch and Spanish definitives, and masses of dreary little India and Pakistan definitives etc.  This useless junk often runs to about 25% of the weight.

I had a worker go through and remove the great bulk of that type of material above,  as frankly NO-ONE deserves to be buying and paying air shipping on mainly that stuff.  That boring mess was sold to someone else in the trade as “Mission Mix” at a FRACTION of the price per Kilogram of this remainder.  (You would not believe what % of boring little Indian stamps and Machins were in there!)

Each parcel from me will definitely contain mainly large size stamps – about 75-80% in fact on a few sample counts,  with high value commemoratives & semi-postals and special issue stamps,  and even lots of high value Definitives seen right through.  I often saw $5 and £5 top values in a few sample handfuls.  You can expect stamps to be in here from countries like:

G.B.,  Germany,  Holland,  Norway,  N.Z.,  Australia,  (unless you veto this one!)  USA,  Bermuda,  Denmark,  Malta,  France,  Malaysia,  Singapore,  Isle of Man.

Plus many other countries too numerous to mention,  including smaller Pacific islands not often seen in this type of mix,  and my 'sample handful' un-scientific analysis yielded generally 30/40 countries in the mix,  with a maximum of about 10% of any one country sighted.   That last bit is VERY important!   Many of the stamps in here will cost you $4 or $5 each to buy from dealers. I saw things with catalogue values of around £5 (=$A12.50) each.

Count will be around 4,000 to the kilogram,  or nearly 2,000 to each pound,  as the average size will be bigger than the Aussie mix,  plus a small % will be on double/torn paper.  Cost per stamp then in the 5 Kilogram lot will be around US 3˘ per stamp.   For album filling,  swaps,  eBay offering,  to keep the kids or grand-children amused,  or for circuit books and re-sale,  this is a Goldmine of a lot as you can see.

If you already may have bought the Australian lot,  I will if you wish,  and you ask specifically, remove all (or 99% anyway!) of the Australian material from this mix.  But you MUST ask, and i MUST agree  – it is a HUGE job to do this!  There is only a minimal amount of Australian material here anyway - and most is selected better grade, so most do not bother.

I do not usually deal in Kiloware,  but know that a high grade mix like this is about the most keenly sought after stuff on the world stamp market.  EVERYONE just loves soaking, sorting and sifting!  Most collectors yearn for nicely POSTALLY used stamps,  and not mass produced “CTO”,  or stamps soaked off FDC's or Maxi Cards etc.

I see regular ads from a well known supplier offering this stuff in "Linns Stamp News".  He has advertised this type of deal for years – price right now is $US27.00 per quarter pound. (4 ounces).  That is $US108 a pound, or ~$A150.00.   I bought a sample of that “incognito”  to eyeball a cross-section,  and it was to be honest nowhere near as diverse or varied in content as this lot.  You need to take my word on that. It had a lot of VERY common definitive stamps.   I figgered if my offering was priced at around HALF that rate,  the value was certainly there.

Prices are, and the $US rate is only very approx as of time of posting this.  working on .75 exchange rate:

1 Kilogram - 2.2 lbs (approx 4,000 stamps)  $A 250

2.5 Kilograms - 5.5 lbs (approx 10,000 stamps)  $A 535

5  Kilograms - 11 lbs (about 20,000 stamps)  $A 975

This as you can see is about HALF the price that lesser grade material sells regularly for elsewhere.  There is no GST added on this to Australian buyers.  Postage at cost as always is extra (see below)  but valuable, and nice light cancelled stamps are used for franking on all orders of this material.

All credit cards accepted at no fee,  and you may order quickly and easily on-line right here:

. . . . .   ! ! !  IMPORTANT  ! ! !  . . . . .

Shipping and postage info applicable to ALL 3 offers above:

There is no GST added for Australian residents to these prices.  Postage as always is extra, and my normal  Conditions Of Sale  apply – which outlines ALL payment options.   All credit charges will of course be processed in AUSTRALIAN dollars at the prices shown above.  I charge NO fee for using major credit cards.  And as always I use NICE stamps,  neatly hand cancelled on your parcel.

Illustrations are from the day I scanned a handful a year or two back.  The contents can and do change on each mix, each week - obviously.   They are a representation for guidance only.  The quantity count given is just like the photos -  for very general guidance only.  The count given was accurate for the mix I counted on that day.  Your count might be a bit more, it might be a bit less - kiloware count is a VERY imprecise science!  Like all stamp bulk lots - kiloware purchases cannot be returned at any time, for any reason, by anyone.

You pay ONLY the face value of the stamps on the parcel, plus insurance, and a $5 packing fee as kiloware packaging is time consuming.  I do NOT rip you off with “Auction House” type 20% "buyer-fees", commissions fees etc.  The stamps used for franking are often worth when they arrive in good condition, as much or more than face value - as we choose wisely.  You can effectively assume postage is an almost NO COST option to you on this basis.  Savvy recipients can (and often do!) MAKE money on the postage charge.   The kiloware is nearly always wrapped in a sturdy black plastic bag BEFORE it goes in the carton,  so that should it get damp or wet, or if carton splits in transit, the stamps stay as safe as can be.  VERY few other sellers take this trouble!

Your choice of seamail or Airmail.   Seamail will always be used unless you clearly indicate otherwise on order form.   (Note seamail is a lot cheaper – near HALF price, but to Europe and USA but it can and does take many weeks to arrive by boat – often 12 weeks to Europe and eastern USA/Canada!  Australia Post often get lazy and send paid seamail by air anyway. )   All parcels will be sent POST OFFICE INSURED post for your protection.  This costs only $A8.10 for $A100 cover, and $A2.15 per $A100 cover thereafter.  (Australian sendings are sent by Registered Mail – cost $3, plus post, packing, and insurance.)

Green Duoane label or Insurance docket will be marked: “printed matter – no commercial value” and insured for a nominal $A100.  To all postal administrations, un-cancelled stamps have ZERO revenue status, and are by definition “valueless”  so I do not feel stating they have no legal value to a Post Office is untrue in a technical sense.  No credit card slip, invoice,  or brochures will be inside the carton.   Just lots of "worthless" used paper.

This ensures smooth and duty free passage most times via foreign Customs/GST/VAT points etc, which of course saves YOU money over buying locally.  It also offers a receipt of posting and the requirement of a signature at your end.  If you DO want the sending insured for MORE, you must clearly specify this on the order form.  This cost is $A2 per extra $A100 insured, and max sum is $A5,000 per parcel - valid to most countries.

Thank You.            Now .. lets order some of that KILOWARE!

Search this site

Search all my 300+ web pages! Simply type in what you are looking for. "Penny Black", "Latvia", "Imprints", "Morocco", "Fungi" "Year Books", etc! Using quotes ( " ) is more accurate for multi word searches - i.e. "Australian FDC" gives FAR more specific matches than simply Australian FDC if used with no quotes. Search is NOT case sensitive. Tip - keep the search word singular - "Machin" yields  far more matches than "Machins" etc.
